Saturday, October 01, 2005. On September 10, 2005 three friends will be departing St. Louis, Missouri, USA and begin a journey to Tanzania, East Africa. But this will be more than three friends taking a vacation. This will be a trip with a greater purpose. It may sound a bit pretentious, but this trip hopes to help save lives. Jennifer and I both wanted to do something not just to honor the memory of Jeff and Tom, but also to help .

Thursday, June 4, 2015. It is interesting to do a self- assessment. I have a very dear friend who was given the assignment for a teaching course to describe herself using 8 nouns. I am honored that she shared her articulate and insightful personal evaluation with me. She also expressed interest in what my response would be. Hope Harbor accomplishes this mission by providing services to needy and displaced homeless, near homeless families, women and children. We help meet their needs for safe shelter, meals, and supportive case management with a goal of obtaining permanent housing and becoming self-sufficient. A shelter from the storm.
We are always in need of personal items for our clients, especially razor, tampons, etc. In fiscal year 2015-2016 Hope Harbor Home provided more than 1,500 nights of shelter to more than 150 women and children. The shelter has 15 adult beds and 5 cribs.
